HOSSFELD VINEYARDS is twenty acres of grapevines comprised of eight unique blocks, each with a different exposure. Our farming is done in house so we can control quality and quantity. We put our Hossfeld culture in agriculture, respecting the synergy of nature and sustainable farming with undeveloped meadows, insectaries and native patches of forest. As stewards of this unique piece of land, we strictly use organic products and look forward to farming it for generations to come.
LOCATED IN SODA CANYON, Hossfeld Vineyards is a hidden gem in the Eastern Hills of Napa Valley.
We are nestled between the Stag's Leap and Atlas Peak AVA. We sit on a uniquely exposed hilltop at the base of Soda Canyon. A relatively young site, somewhere between 2-8 million years ago, rhyolitic lava flows sculpted the landscape where we grow our grapes. Hossfeld Vineyards is completely volcanic, with major rock outcroppings of rhyolite and andesite breaching up through the slopes. Our grapevines have very little soil, maximum drainage and are guaranteed to feel the season.
THE VINEYARD was developed at different stages, leading to eight unique blocks.
